The supplied dongle will be either a FlexID-9 (green) or FlexID-10 (blue) USB key, each of which requires its accompanying license file (*.lic) in order to run XFdtd. Before the licensing software will recognize the USB key, driver software must be downloaded and installed on the machine.
Install only the needed USB key driver and follow the installation instructions in the appropriate section below. After completing the FlexID driver setup, rebooting the computer helps ensure that the installer's changes take effect. Afterward, insert the USB key into a free USB port on the computer and continue on to the USB Key Licensing instructions.

For FlexID-9 (green) USB keys, install the driver software on Windows:
- Unplug key if already plugged in.
- Download FlexID v9 Dongle Drivers for Windows
- Run Remcom_9-Key_Driver_Installer.exe -i from a commandline window.
- Finish the installation as instructed.
For FlexID-10 (blue) USB keys, install the driver software on Windows:
- Unplug key if already plugged in.
- Download FlexID v10 Dongle Drivers for Windows
- Unzip FlexID_Dongle_Driver_Files-Windows.zip and run FlexID_Dongle_Driver_Files/Windows/FLEXId_Dongle_Driver_Installer-v16.0.0.exe

Install Driver on Linux
Install the USB key driver software on Linux:
- Unplug key if already plugged in.
- Download FlexID v9 and v10 Dongle Drivers for Linux
- Unzip FlexID_Dongle_Driver_Files-Linux.zip and install the appropriate RPM for the platform (RedHat) and USB key (either FlexID-9, green or FlexID-10, blue).
This is typically done using the RPM command as the root user (e.g., rpm -ivh FlexID_Dongle_Driver_Files/RedHat-FlexID-10/WkRt-Lin64-6.0.501.1.x86_64.rpm).
